Our New House!

This is our new house!! 414 South Rankin Street
We will close February 15, but can start working on it now since the owner has already moved her things out and given us the go-ahead.
(Refinishing the floors started today and we will need to paint)

It is an adorable 3bedroom/2bath cottage on a dead end street in the
Garden District of downtown Natchez. We have a great yard for Maggie
and a future swingset for Jane. The exterior need painting as you will
see in the pictures and there is tons of storage underneath the house
in the back. The back is also screaming for a big deck so hopefully
before the spring we can add it. The blue room will be the master, the
tan room will be a guest room/Bees Knees office and the dark room will
be Jane's room.

More info to come once we can get in it, but we are really excited! We
moved to Natchez February 2009 and have found the perfect house for us for February 2010!
We can't wait to move in and make it ours!!

What's happenin' 2010?

All of Jane's girl cousins celebrated their birthday:
Isabel Jenkins (2nd cousin) turned 1 on December 30, 2009

Mary Laine Dyksterhouse (2nd cousin) turned 1 on January 3, 2010

Kathryn Carby (1st cousin) was born January 4, 2010

Hyde and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on January 6. Time has flown! It is wild to think that we met 4 years ago, married, moved from Birmingham to Natchez and had a baby-the most amazing little girl either of us could have ever imagined having. AND..we signed a contract on a house in Natchez, contingent on inspection, of course!! What a day!! Bettye Jane and Charlie were in town so we were able to celebrate Charlie's birthday as well as go to a going away party for Sarah Rowell who is moving to Savanna. We are sad to see her go!

On Saturday, January 9, we drove to Jackson for the Carruthers Christmas. It was great to see the Carruthers Family, especially Jane and Ewing! Both were able to hold Jane for some good quality time. Jane is so fortunate to have 7 great grandparents! Happy early Birthday to Jane, who turns 83 on January 26, and Ewing, who turns 93 on March 14! Don't they look great!! After exchanging gifts, we drove back to Natchez for Jack's (The Bonnie Prince) birthday.

Sunday, January 10 marked Jane's 4 month birthday. There was also a Sip and See in Jane's honor in Natchez. We had a great crowd and I appreciate all that came out in the freezing cold to meet Jane.

Jane had her 4 month checkup on Monday, January 11. She weighs 14 pounds, 14 ounces (75th percentile) and measures 24" (just above 50th percentile). She also had to get 2 shots, one in each thigh. I didn't cry this time, but it was still hard to watch. We discussed rice cereal and I was given the go ahead to start introducing simple solid foods! Fruits and Veggies here we come!
