We went to Itta Bena for a very low key weekend. Dad and I took Jane and Hyde to a Pillow Academy girl's basketball game Friday night. This was the first time Hyde has ever been to Pillow and he was able to see where I played basketball for 6 years. Jane didn't last long as she wanted to run out on the court the whole time. Other than Hyde duck hunting both mornings, we did nothing and it was fabulous. This was our trip outside to relieve cabin fever. Jane loves being outdoors despite how cold it may be. We ran around the farm for 20 minutes in the cold but because she would not wear her hat or gloves, we had to bring her in even though she was not ready!

PeePaw Mike
The Ladies at the office secretly ordered this fine license plate made for my dad. Dad insists that he wants to be called Papa Mike, but we all love to say that he will be called PeePaw Mike. This drives Dad crazy! So, one random day at work, Gary was able to screw on the hot pink number without Dad noticing. Dad drove around then to a meeting and back before noticing! Everyone loved lauging at him! Too bad he doesn't want to keep it...it looks good on the front of his truck.

Baby Signing Time
We received the Baby Signing Time DVD from the Stubbs in Natchez and highly recommend it to others! Jane has been watching it for months, but since she hit 11 months, she has really been interested in watching it. I think she really likes watching the other babies, but she has been learning the signs. She signs "eat", "more", and "all done". These have been so helpful at mealtime and beyond. Before we both got frustrated because we could not communicate, but now she can let me know that she wants more of something or that she is finished. She also lets me know when she wants to eat. It is amazing to know that we are communicating! Here is a quick video of when the DVD starts. She gets so excited!
