This morning Philip and Hyde ran in the Crescent City classic in New Orleans. Hyde grew up running in the race. This year had over 25,000 people-more than they have had since 1985. Hyde ran an impressive 47:48.

BEST BUNNY DANCE

My uncle, Gaines, created this Jib-Jab card for Easter and includes all the Sturdivant siblings (Mike, Walker, Sykes, Gaines and Ygondine). I cannot not stop laughing, even thinking about it.

I expect to see this dance performed at the next Sturdivant gathering!

The Help

A trailer for The Help is now out and the movie will reach theaters in August! I cannot wait to see the movie-I enjoyed the book/story, but also look forward to seeing Greenwood and people and places I know on the big screen. See the trailer here. Thinking of baby Stella! Baby now must be wrapped in a hospital blanket just like cousin Stella.

Blue Water Tonight

We love Crayola Bathtub Tints! Jane loves picking out a color and watching it bleed into the water. It is wild looking at her in colored water, but don't worry- it does not discolor anything (and we have an old porcelain footed tub) Tonight, she went with just one tablet-blue.

Bubbles

Jane loves bubbles! Hearing her say "bubbles", I can't help but think of Nemo's tank friend, Bubbles, who is obsessed with bubbles.

A Carruthers Visit

Great Grandmother Jane, Great Grandfather Ewing, Gran Jan and Aunt
Tracy came to visit us. We had dinner at The Castle Monday night and
lunch at The Carriage House on Tuesday, April 12. Chef Bingo and Mary Starr
treated the table with yummy appetizers and desserts (even with Happy
Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate) in honor and
celebration of Jane and Ewing's 59th Wedding Anniversary! They were
able to see Jane in her hoop skirt/dress and see our house before they
left for Jackson. We were so glad to have them here, even for a short
while! We hope they will come back soon!!

Odell

We were able to have a not long enough visit with Odell and Dennis Ratliff. We hope to return soon to see them. 

Stella Louise Roberts

Stella Louise Roberts made her debut (against her will) on Friday,

April 8, 2011 at 4:54pm weighing 9 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 21

inches long.

We are thrilled she is finally here, after being 12 days late! She is

beautiful!!! She looks just like her mommy with big sweet eyes and

round cheeks, brown hair and olive skin (she had the best tan in the

nursery). We have determined that her ears and feet are from Charlie,

but we all know everything could change from one day to the next. It

is fun to guess though. She is very sweet and only cries when she is

hungry.

Bettye Jane, Charlie, and Stella are all doing well and were released

from the hospital Monday the 11th. Each is adjusting to a new and

amazing life. Babies are such a blessing!

Congratulations Bettye Jane and Charlie on a beautiful and healthy baby girl!!

This morning, we woke up to find 15 flamingos in our yard!!
Amelie Edgin sent them to Jane in honor of The Natchez Democrat's
Relay for Life Team.
