We had a great 2nd day! Jane is figuring out this hippie festivarian thing! She was a rockstar this afternoon for Trampled by Turtles, Emmylou Harris, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. She has eaten yummy veggie stir-fry and tofu with coconut curry sauce, egg rolls, and a few Indian dishes! I think her favorite was the warm Nutella tortilla! (At least that our favorite since it allowed us to stay for one more set!)

Jane is not so sure about the Gondola ride that she had begged us to take her on.
Feeling better about things now that Daddy is by her side.
Enjoying the Gondola

Telluride Bluegrass: Thursday, June 16

I got to run the tarp this morning and was 20th in line!!  There was a camera on a tri-pod set up in the middle of the field and Hyde found the video on YouTube. At the 46 second mark you can see me sprinting on the left side of the screen behind the guy with the yellow chair. That "Yellow Zone" crew was in trouble...the Mississippi Crew is moving in!

And Totty's too
And can't forget Daddy's
Snack break
Working on her hula hoop. I think she had more fun getting a smiley face on her hand
Mom working hard on the hula hoop, Jane taking a break talking to Totty. Gaston is slaving away at Kathryn's hula hoop while the girls hang out.

Daddy is proud of Jane's LSU spirit with a tiger tail on her hula hoop.
Gaston still working hard at Kathryn's hula hoop.
Jane loved the face painting! She sat completely still for her nose and wiskers to be drawn.
Steve Earle

Jane really figured out the festival tone today. She went with the flow and had a great time. She even wore her headphones so we were able to hang out on our tarp near the stage and watch Steve Earle up close.

We were able to hear a little of Sarah McLachlan before we took Jane home. It was interesting to be able to step out of the shower and hear her singing "Building a Mystery" just few blocks away. Since all the windows were open (for our air conditioning), we could hear the concert from our couch.

A Great Day To Be Alive and especially at the festival!!

Headed to Telluride!

Jane was discharged from the hospital just in time to go home and pack for our trip to Telluride.  We left that afternoon (June 14) and drove to Baton Rouge to spend the night with Mollie, Gaston and Kathryn. We woke EARLY and drove to the New Orleans airport for our day of flying. We left for Denver at 7:38 a.m. (arrived at 9:26 and left Denver at 11:17) and arrived in Montrose, CO at 12:15p.m. We then loaded the Telluride Express van for a beautiful hour ride. (We passed Ralph Lauren's Ranch and a town where True Grit was filmed.)

We made it!!
Without a hitch!! Amazing! All flights were on time and the girls did a great job traveling! We were able to hit up the grocery store and locate the boxes of chairs, tarps, etc we had shipped and still have time to wander around town before dark.
Bring on the Music!

Jane in Recovery

She's back with us an sleeping now. no complications. The abscess was 7cm. It's looking like they will keep her overnight for more antibios. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Jane was a trooper at the hospital! Sunday night she was itching to escape the room so she was unhooked from her IV for a trip to see the new babies on the third floor. This was a hit and we made trips as much as we were allowed. Sunday night did not bring much sleep with nurse in and out with blood work and IV antibiotics.
Monday we were very hopeful that we could go home. Jane was feeling much more like herself, but after meeting with Dr. Kuiper we were told to stay one more day. Money was long for Jane. She was back to her cute self and flirting with everyone one the floor. Monday night was better for sleep but it was worth it Tuesday morning when Dr. Kuiper and Dr. Russ discharged her from the hospital. Yeaaaay!!! She had positive gram cocci and has to continue taking Bactrim for 10 more days.
Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and best wishes!! We hope to not visit the hospital again any time soon!
