Saturday at Home
It was so nice to not have weekend plans! We stayed in Natchez this weekend and really enjoyed a weekend "off". I taught yoga and Hyde went for a 3 hour bike ride on the Natchez Trace. Jane was able to play with Julia Claire Jex(before her first haircut), Liam Shea(while in town), Leah Tillman and Austin Jex. After Jane's nap, Maggie got a turn! We walked down the alley to the hill behind the school administration building and threw the dummy to her until she flopped on the ground with her tongue out. Jane got some good running in too! The weather was perfect and it made my day to have the whole family together enjoying time together!

Jane's new bed
Jane has officially moved up to a "Big Girl Bed"!!
We were able to put everything together today and let Jane check
everything thing out. After a few bounces and getting under the covers
she approved.
Collecting the bed items has been fun. I was on a walk with Maggie
last week and passed a man cleaning up 2 white twin beds to sell
(...for $20 total!). Stella and Philip gave her the quilt for her
birthday. The quilt was hand made by the mother of a good friend here
in Natchez, Karry Hosford (her Etsy shop is _). Alice Broughton and I
found the sheets in Jackson Tuesday and today we bought the
mattresses.

Friday Painting
Jane and I had a morning of painting. It was fun and no real big mess- just two fabulous pieces of art from Jane!

Video Monitor
How did we go 2 years without this?? So helpful now that she is sleeping in a "big girl bed". She played for a little while then crawled into her bed and went to sleep. Nice!
First Visit with Eleanor
Jane and I were able to go visit Eleanor and Grace on Tuesday, August 30. She is such a sweet baby! She sleeps, eats, and has adjusted well. Grace is calm and collected and has a fabulous maternal instinct. We were so excited to spend the afternoon with them and thrilled Alice Boughton Cox came over to see the girls.
