LSU v State, continued

We organized that all the little girl cousins (Jane, Kathryn, Stella, and Isabel) meet up for the LSU/Mississippi State game on November 10 and meet the Golden Girls before the game. They were so great and I think they had a really great time!

Easy Bake Oven

Jane loves making cakes and cookies on the Easy Bake Oven app on my phone. We are struggling with getting poo-poo in the potty and every day I try to make a deal with her. I have tried candy, a basket of treats, stickers, etc. Yesterday I told Jane that if she would potty she could have ice cream and she said "No". I was confused-she loves ice cream. So I asked why she didn't want ice cream and she looked me in the eye and said, "Bakesy Oven", which is what she calls the Easy Bake Oven. I was floored! This little 3 year old girl is negotiating with me on treats for going potty! Once I stopped laughing I agreed to the terms. My thinking was that I had offered her so much before now and she didn't do it that she wouldn't get it today either. Well, I was wrong. She told me she needed to potty and she did!!! Can you believe this girl?!?!? I had to hold my word and take her to the store. I still can't believe it. She chose the pink on and before I put it in the cart, I made her understand and agree that if she didn't keep going to the potty that the oven would go up on a shelf until she consistently had success. She loved baking with her Aunt Bettye that afternoon.

January 7, 2013 Update: The next day, the EBO went on the top shelf in the hall and it has been there since. UGH. Bettye Jane even gave her more baking kits for Christmas, but they are on the shelf with the oven until Jane makes up her mind.

6 Month Collage

Walker: 6 Months of Pictures

6 Month Pictures

Where has the time gone?! My little (big) boy is 6 months old! He is
the happiest, sweetest, most cuddly, squishy thang and I am head over
heals in love with him!

He is eating 3x a day: sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, pears,
peaches, kiwi, mango, avacado, oatmeal and rice.

He sleeps on his belly and is almost sleeping through the night. He
will wake up but he gets himself back to sleep. Yay! (Of course, we
are just now getting Walker to sleep and now Jane is waking up and
trying to get in our bed in the middle of the night. If its not one
thing-it's another) Making a long story short, we are getting more
sleep at 505.

Halloween 2012

Halloween was a ton of fun this year. Jane wanted to be a beautiful
mermaid so Walker was a crab. Jane decided she wanted to be a fairy
the morning of Halloween so she never wore the mermaid costume. Boo!
But at least she wore a costume! Jane didn't end up trick or treating
Halloween night because she was having more fun handing out the candy
at our house. Our street is a popular trick or treat street.
